x THE CARTEL
A passionate artist in drawing since his childhood, Thomas BROQUET, known as BROKOVICH, grew up in the heart of a Jura ski resort. His closeness to winter sports naturally drew him towards skateboarding and its distinct culture within the movement of street art, graffiti, and all forms of public space art.
After attending the Cantonal School of Art in LAUSANNE (ECAL), BROKOVICH specialized in graphic design. His artistic versatility grants him the ability to excel as an illustrator, graphic designer, enameller, while also standing out as a plastic artist who has created a unique artistic universe, sprinkled with distinctive signs making his works instantly recognizable as true icons.
Through his collections featuring masks, faces, silhouettes, and various figurines, one can invariably detect the essence of BROKOVICH, particularly through the scrutinizing pair of eyes that signature his work.
With remarkable dexterity, BROKOVICH plays with mediums and scales, from the minuscule to mural size, imposing his style with authority. He masters the art of engraving, painting, cutting, pasting, reusing, accumulating, or assembling, all the while preserving a child-like innocence. With ingenuity, he enjoys recovering and reinterpreting objects of all kinds, reinventing them and thereby questioning their obsolescence.
A regular participant in art exhibitions and festivals, BROKOVICH has showcased his work in France, Switzerland, Montreal, Luxembourg, Germany, but also in China and South Korea, affirming his presence on the international art scene.
A close friend of CARTEL since its inception, BROKOVICH collaborates once again with the brand in 2024 for the group t-shirt exhibition "Paris est une fête" (Paris is a party).
