THE CARTEL
From its Latin origin "Cartello", which designated the first papyrus posters, to its contemporary version which names the explanatory leaflet placed under a work of art, the word "c-art-el" has in fact always been linked to the production and artistic creation.

Organized as an art collective based in Montreal, LE CARTEL's mission is to promote the work and style of each of its members on textiles.
LE CARTEL, it's 50+ local and international artists specialized in various disciplines: tattoo, street art, illustration, drawing, photography... All our collections are worked in a specific way with the artists in order to create unique pieces, and to make their art accessible to the greatest number.
Each model is signed with a CARTEL placed inside the garment. We pay 10% royalties on each sale to the artists we work with. More than 50% of our clothing is made in Canada.
History
Founded in 2015 in Montreal, the brand LE CARTEL specializes in the creation and manufacture of streetwear clothing made in collaboration with artists of all styles, of all profiles. LE CARTEL distinguishes itself by its originality, its audacity, and its quality in bringing together a wide variety of talents and creatives.
LE CARTEL is a multi-faceted company. Like the city that saw it born and grow, the company has developed since 2015 many models and textile collections in collaboration with several renowned artists.
But more importantly, she has succeeded in creating a Montreal - and increasingly international - community through the creation and production of incredible art projects, one of the latest of which is none other than the largest mural ever created by a woman in Canada - 15,000 square feet in the Mile End neighborhood - produced by LE CARTEL in May 2019.
