The RAT LA VÔTRE print is part of the PARIS EST UNE FÊTE collection.

LE CARTEL borrowed from Ernest Hemingway his famous phrase “PARIS EST UNE FÊTE” (Paris is a party) to make it the title of its new collection. This iconic cry from the heart and homage to the French capital was chosen to celebrate the arrival of the brand in France in 2024 and the inauguration of its first European store. For the occasion, 24 French and Quebec artists were carefully selected and put to the test to capture the essence of “Paris est une fête” on textile. The result is 48 t-shirts and prints with unique styles, which combine humor, social commitments and an ode to Paris.

Born in France in 1985 and since expatriated to Montreal, Mateo Humano flourishes today as an artist who likes to weave dialogues between the ages. Renowned for his baroque street art, which draws inspiration from ornaments from around the world, and his striking oriental rug paintings, Mateo fuses urban art with the heritage of ancient cultures, creating a cohesive bridge between the street and the city. the intimacy of enclosed spaces, the exterior and the interior, the urban and the intimate. After two decades painting walls across the globe, Mateo has perfected the art of ornamentation, applying this know-how to diverse media: from city walls to ceramics, wood, paper, and even fabric . Painting on a carpet became for him a surprising but harmonious way of linking his practices.
